ABOUT
Words in written form have a particular power; to write and edit is to capture and curate this power.
I discovered a passion for editing as an intern at UN Women's Europe Central Asia Regional Office in Istanbul. As the only native English speaker in the office, I was tasked with editing everything from internal memos and program documents to the Director's speeches and global publications. Because I was reading all day, I knew almost everything that was happening in our region, despite being an intern. It was this love of both learning and perfecting written works that led me to the private sector to work in economic and business publishing.
Regardless of content, audience, or topic, I write and edit with an underlying curiosity about the world and with a partiality toward finding essence and coherence. As in life as in writing, Leonardo da Vinci says it best, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
